Faronics Deep Freeze Cloud Web App Primary Cover Screen
Overview

Project Overview

Redesigned the primary web console for Faronics Deep Freeze Cloud, streamlining software updates, computer freeze/thaw commands, and group policy management for enterprise networks.

Problem

The Challenge

The console had accumulated massive design debt over a decade, resulting in a cluttered policy editor and multi-step configurations that took up to 20 minutes to complete.

Research

Discovery & User Research

We conducted usability interviews with 18 system administrators, which revealed that editing policies across multiple device categories was the primary friction point. Users needed a side-by-side view to compare configurations.

Design

Featured Highlights

Rebuilt the navigation architecture and designed a modular policy editor. Surfaced device compliance states in high-visibility widgets and integrated direct action links in grid views.
